I never watched more than three partial episodes of Seinfeld, but the "soup Nazi" was enough of popular culture reference for me to be annoyed at the time, and I would never use it to mean narcissistic disciplinarian, or however you meant it about the ADA folks. Particularly when the overlap is with the discourse of yesterday, when Elon Musk (twice) used what is clearly a Nazi-era arm out salute during the official festivities. People who are students of WWII were absolutely sure he meant what it appeared to be. There was a lot of apologizing for him online, some of it claiming he wasn't culpable because he's "on the spectrum," with responses from actual diagnosed autistic people retorting that that's no excuse for flaunting white supremacism. Snopes mentioned Neo-Nazis who are ecstatic to have seen it. Today Musk denied it.
