Mom update

We had a setback yesterday when some of her blood pressure meds worked overtime. We ended up in the ER because we thought she'd had another stroke, but it turned out that when your brain is impaired, if your BP drops, you can get stroke symptoms as the parts of your brain that are trying to compensate for the damaged parts are overtaxed. Or something. Part of the problem, I believe, is that while the therapists here are supposed to be great (and so far they seem to be), the food is terrible, and she's not eating, and she's not drinking enough. So we're buying things she likes and plying her with food and drink. Hopefully this plus the actual therapy will help.

We did manage to get out to thanksgiving dinner and meet my stepfather's new great grandchild, so that made her very happy.

I still haven't made a plane reservation home. Maybe I'll at least click on Kayak today and see what's available.
