fun with fitbit
Apr. 30th, 2021 10:00 pmAs earlier mentioned I've been using a fitbit recently. So I took it on the trip. Two fun facts:
When I'm at altitude, my heart races a bit. Always has; I suppose if I lived in Denver it would abate after a while (though 5000 feet isn't enough, it needs to be more like 8000). So, the fitbit measures your heartrate. It didn't have a clue but it gave me quite a number of "active minutes" for sitting on the plane! It wasn't high enough to count as "exercise" so it didn't try to categorize what I did.
My daily exercise here is sometimes pushing my mom around the neighborhood in the wheelchair. The fitbit thinks I'm bicycling! I think because my heartrate was clearly in "exercise zone" but my hands were not moving.
