So I flew on a Boeing 737-MAX. It didn't crash. (Actually, I flew in two of them.)
Thoughts:
United is being really cheap, because they did not install those little individual TV monitors in the back of the seat, but tell you that you can bring your own device and hook it to the United app and then you can watch their movies. So we are back to having the flight attendants stand there and do the safety presentation in person, which is boring. I kind of enjoyed the various funky videos that they had done instead previously.
They provide you with a little foldout stand to place your device on, which I suppose is better than holding it in your hand. Maybe if I did that on my tablet, it would be okay. I do not wish to watch a movie on my phone.
Strangely, they have light-up no smoking signs. Some previous time I flew on a brand-new plane (some other make), and they had plastic embossed no smoking signs, because they knew there never was going to be smoking, so why put in a light.
