Threatening letters

So I did it.

I engaged a lawyer. She has sent a letter to my stepsister describing my desires (weekly phone calls and 2-3 visits a year with my stepfather; happy to do them when the caregiver is there so as not to interact with my stepsister), and referencing the elder abuse statute, so that she knows that there could be legal action if she doesn't comply.

Awaiting fireworks. I did text my flaky stepbrother so that he would be aware of where the fireworks might come from.
