On death

So I haven't posted about this yet, because it's kind of too depressing.

Ken's sister died last Sunday. A not very close friend was taken off of life support around that time. A closer friend died on Tuesday. And now Valerie's brother is going to die in the next few days.

It's kind of too much altogether. I told my aging cat she needs to stick around for a while, because I need comforting.

Oh, my goodness. My possibly nonsensical thought was to bring you a casserole, but I won't unless that's what you need. Vibes coming your way for sure.

Thank you for the thoughts, but we're not really in need of physical support. Valerie's brother was in Seattle (she might go there for arrangements sometime but no plans yet) and Ken's sister was in Amherst with a lot of support for her husband. The friends are doing their own things; Valerie is helping with arrangements for the "closer friend" so her brother's death (he died in the night) comes at a bad time. Not that there's ever a "good" time.

Oh my gosh. I’m so sorry. That is an enormous heaping plate of loss in a short time! I wish you all peace and inner strength, and as time goes on may you remember all the good times the most.

Condolences. I know that there's nothing I can really do, but I wish that there were.
