I arrived late Wednesday evening.
Mom seems to be doing fine, although I mentioned she looked a little glum, and she said "I am a little glum". She did not elaborate. Probably it's the whole "Clyde isn't coming every day and we don't know what's going to happen in the long-term". Which is scary for everyone, but especially for her.
Thursday and Friday afternoon we visited Clyde for a couple of hours in the patio of the rehab place. We'll do that again all the days I'm here.
Clyde seems to be doing fine. They might let him go early, next Tuesday. He seems to have agreed to use a walker while he's at the rehab, which is good, since his balance had been kind of wonky last time I was here, and I suggested then he think about using a cane, but he said "I don't need that". He also told me on the phone last week that some rehab staff had come to offer him exercises for just general health I guess, and he had sent them away. But he seems to have changed his mind and is going to "take advantage of all the things they have to offer here". Which is good, because they might show him some new exercises. He normally does a set of exercises 3-4 times a week which I think are substantially responsible for his continued health and mobility. But, maybe a professional has something to offer.
