We saw it! From my mastodon report:
The clouds parted, and it was beautiful. I didn't take any pictures of totality, but of course I took pictures of the colander shadows and nearby tree shadows during partiality.
We saw pink prominences through the binoculars. Some of them were naked eye visible. And sunspots during partiality.
Elsewhere in the sky, Jupiter and Venus were easy to see, and if you looked carefully, Mars and Saturn were also visible, but we needed to know where to look. I could even tell that Mars was redder than Saturn.
