Heidelberg, reprise

I neglected to mention in my Heidelberg Castle report how I felt like I was in every fantasy book I've ever read when I walked across the bridge to the castle walls with the portcullis (it has one) and how the walls are so wide it's really a tunnel, and there are doors on the sides of the tunnel where the castle guard would be, to interact with or be avoided by the protagonist. Later, we walked up a staircase through the castle walls, like we would be the defenders who would be going to some arrow slits. It was kind of cool.
