my cat is still alive

...but not for much longer. She started drooling like mad and coughing whenever she tried to eat. I took her to the vet today, and the vet thinks she's drooling because she's nauseous. She didn't see anything inside her mouth to cause trouble, but it could be down in the throat, or she could just be nauseous because of all the things going awry in her body. I'm going to call the in-home vet and make an appointment for next week, I think.
